potato chip machine
rippling

gone for a week
the dog greets us
with skunk scent

blue wisteria
cascades down the bluff
a flash of hummingbird

yards flooded
junked cars becoming
pontoon boats

forecasting heat
the woolly alpaca backs
into denser shade
