Elizabeth Howard lives in Crossville, Tennessee. In addition to haiku,
she also writes fiction and other types of poetry. Her haiku have been
published in Frogpond, Modern Haiku, Acorn, The Heron's Nest, Stylus
Poetry Journal, South by Southeast, and other journals.

the dog greets us
with skunk scent

blue wisteria
cascades down the bluff
a flash of hummingbird
yards flooded
junked cars becoming
pontoon boats
|
forecasting heat
the woolly alpaca backs
into denser shade |
