sliver of moon
behind the rain clouds
on this long drive
a trace of your touch
on my skin

the slant of sun
on the hillside . . .
another hour
of daylight
is slipping away

fog returning to the bay
my father visits me
after many years
again, I am a girl
with doubts

these lilies
on the table . . .
last night
you bloomed in the dark
for me
