cold ashes...
a white moth flutters
from the kindling box

tropical breeze
the sound of flying fish

a cloud of bats
skims the pond

window shelf
a bronze heron spreads
its shadow

a new silver Pegasus
for the charm bracelet

park wedding
under the banyan tree
a peacock's fanned tail

"Loves Me, Loves Me Not..."

leaving my marbles
on the playground...
her blue eyes

first love note
on a lunchroom napkin

playing dodgeball
missing her
on purpose

the last two daisy petals
in one pull

my changing voice...
i notice her shape

Sunday matinee
our hands touch
in the popcorn
