Memory of Greece

My grandfather eats
Aegina pistachios
Red and rich as life.

Red Shawls at market -
One rainbow girl offers sheep
Near gray Inka walls.

Ghostly deer tremble;
This foggy mountain limbo
Is not of our world.

Yucatan Haiku

I lost my love here.
The wet jungle swallowed her
With one belching gulp.

Mug of hot lime tea
Beneath green Chinese mountains
My dharma simmers.
