David Mitchell

Drink, blessed winter night.
Even a pool of drunk's piss
reflects the moonlight.
  Grass
  turning white overnight.
Lost in nowhere thoughts The year almost past.
autumn poems all but written.
Rain taps my window.
  dark subway
shadows gather by broken light . . .
In stretched puddles thank you, moon.
as far as my eyes can see
boiling light

David Mitchell is an infrequent Slough Based poet who has had poetry published in magazines, webzines, local publications and broadcast on county radio.
