Roberta Beary

in the middle
of the widow's lawn
weeping cherry
  closer this year
to the garbage can
wild sunflower
culling figs
mother and son
speaking again
  hair of the dog —
in the mirror a trace
of autumn
winter sunlight
a priest blesses
father's eyelids
