Gillena Cox is a retired Library Assistant who lives in Trinidad -- one of the twin islands which make up the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. She writes for the sheer joy of crafting her ideas into a poetic form, and she particularly enjoys short forms because of the constraints of abstraction in them. She likes to take nature photos, enjoys listening to music and will respond readily to a challenge for a game of Scrabble. Her poems are published online and also in anthologies. Her first solo publication is a book of haiku poems which is scheduled to be released in 2008. She has a daughter named Yanda and a son named Khama.
Her poetry site, PatchWork, is at: http://mongst.8k.com
