Ron Moss lives in Tasmania, an island state of Australia. He works in the film and photography department in the Tasmania Archives, and he is also a volunteer firefighter. He has been Secretary of the Australian Haiku Society and is now the regional coordinator for Tasmania and a participant in the local haiku group
One of his haiku was picked up from the monthly Shiki Kukai and is included in dust of summers: The Red Moon Anthology of English-language Haiku (2007). In addition, his haiku, haibun, tanka and haiga have been published in Frogpond, SP Quill, White Lotus, Eucalypt, Contemporary Haibun Online, FreeXpresSion, The Heron's Nest, Simply Haiku, SxSE and in a feature at HaigaOnline and Sketchbook. He has been invited to participate in Australia's upcoming Queensland Poetry Festival, where he will present his paintings, haiku, and haibun on his experiences as a firefighter.
