in drunken treetops

below their bridal suite
two foxes
resting on the lawn

he'll always keep it,
her long fluffy scarf

cool shadow
of the spreading chestnut
over the hot past

as the messenger waits
faces tremble

on Noah's Ark
all cases packed
ready to leave

past on the mast,
first shivers on the ocean

crimson dahlia sways
as creaking swings
grow silent

on the wooden bench
the old man's presence

wires twitter
as the sun sinks
shadows on the hills

a yellow car speeds
beneath an icy moon
