Here we see the Minamoto leader Yoritomo hiding in a tree hollow after his defeat
at the battle of Ishibashiyama in 1180, his first battle against the Taira in the Genpei War.
His ultimate victory over the Taira in 1185 led to his establishment of the first Shogunate in Kamakura, and ushered in the great Feudal Period of Japan.
