eulalia waves us

into the weathered gate

pottery museum

on the cedar-plank

a bold gold half moon

boisterous kids

on their school trip

a flag leading

sudden appearance of whales

roiling beach crowd

deep in the mountains

a village with a tale of 

a legendary beauty

what an ethereal dream

impersonation fraud

no calls come

to the homeless

park endowed by the emperor

ants come out of their holes

loneliness--

.....reading the Bible

.....as blossoms fall in the rain

rumbling prairie train

engulfed by its own whistle

“Beer, first!”

shouted the nine* in their

triumphant return

such a cheerful buzz

on the twilight street

* A legendary couple who were separated by Minamoto Yoritomo, the Shogun and the elder brother of Yoshitsune.

* Nine players means nine base ball players here. In fact 'nain' written in three kata-kana letters becomes a Japanese word meaning baseball team.
