HAIKU

Deborah P. Kolodji

harbor breakwater
the tugboat waiting,
waiting

  cargo cranes
against the sky—
an empty pier

flutter
of ginkgo leaves—
autumn gold

  a bed of straw
under the pumpkins—
our autumn grins

only a drip
from the shishi odoshi
green water
